Sergei Slonimsky was born in Leningrad in 1932. He left us with a grand total of 34 symphonies and much more.

His "Symphonic Chant" requires wind, strings, percussion, two harps and two balalaikas. I don't know the year of its composition, but it was performed first in 2019.

Here it was performed by the St. Petersburg State Conservatory Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Yuri Simonov:
