Erkki Salmenhaara was born in Helsinki in 1941. He gave us at least five symphonies, appearing in 1962, 1963, 1963, 1972 and (with chorus) 1989. 

Also at least one string quartet (1977).

His Illuminations for Orchestra appeared in 1971. Here it is, performed by the Jeune Philharmonie de Seine Saint Denis, with Henri-Claude Fantapiť conducting:
