Granville Bantock was born in London in 1868. His Pagan Symphony appeared in 1928.

A rare opportunity to hear and see a splendid live performance given under Douglas Bostock in 2018: virtuosic playing in perhaps the most overtly Straussian of Bantock's larger orchestral works. But the music is too soft:
