Agustín González Acilu (born 1929) - Symphony number two: http://www.mediafire.com/?r6w2o19g0189215This is an mp3 extracted from a video of a public concert given in 2009 by the RTVE Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Arturo Tamayo. Duration twenty-seven minutes. The sound of this symphony is somewhat harsh and obsessive; for some reason it reminds me of Simpson. But it certainly holds one's attention. Here too is a short interview with the composer in the Spanish language; but since I do not understand what they are saying I still cannot work out when the symphony was written: http://www.mediafire.com/?529d5juughpn29pAnd here is a link to the original video, which as well as the above-mentioned items contains an interview with the conductor, together with performances of Busoni's Berceuse Elegiaque and Mahler's Klagende Lied: http://www.rtve.es/alacarta/videos/orquesta-y-coro/cancion-doliente-gustav-mahler/454031/

Pedro Vilarroig (born 1954) - Concerto for pianoforte and orchestra (1990?): http://www.mediafire.com/?6d7dm5j8vwgk28vMP3 file extracted from a video broadcast of a public concert in 2008; duration twenty-nine minutes. Luis Fernando Pérez (pianoforte), with the Neotonarte Symphony Orchestra conducted by Antonio Palmer Aparicio. Three movements: Moderato, Largo, and Allegro Vivace. "Neo-tonality"; Brahms would have found it old-fashioned.
